Having an in-unit bathroom with a hot shower after a full day of hiking is a wonderful luxury! The Modern Nomad team has put together a very comfortable stay in a beautifully rugged place. The stargazing window above the bed is the perfect nightcap. Brianna responded quickly when we had questions, and was very friendly! Using the GPS coordinates in Apple and Google maps both worked perfectly. Would highly recommend this stay for your Big Bend visit!

This place is amazing. If you’re looking for a spot where you can see ALL the stars and moon rises look no further.. Breathtaking views and completely peaceful surroundings.. Brianna is top notch. Very helpful, responsive and knows the places to be in the area… Highly recommended!!!

Awesome off grid style stay! Stargazing was incredible here and even though you're around other shipping containers it still feels very private. Don't be nervous if you've never stayed off grid before, everything has clear and detailed instructions so you can't go wrong! If you want to cook, there were provided plates/silverware. Overall the stay was awesome, 10/10 would recommend to others!!

Staying here was so peaceful and relaxing. The views of the night sky were top tier. As the property is off the grid, staying here was a unique experience unlike any other Air BnB I have stayed at.

If you want a break from your daily life, the schedules, and just want to exist in the moment............ This is the place to be. Secluded off HWY 118, this location offers breathtaking sunrises, beautiful landscapes, and magnificent stargazing. (I forgot to breath for a couple minutes while staring at the night sky). All of the essentials are covered, Water, Heat, electricity, WI-FI .... what are you waiting for, your next adventure awaits. (Not a paid Spokesman)

This place is great if you want to feel like you’re camping but you’re not! Enjoyed the indoor plumbing and sleeping on a nice bed! We brought our Coleman grill for cooking and that worked out well. Brianna was attentive and replied back quickly. The location is great!

One of the best Airbnb stays ever! This was perfectly off grid while still having great amenities for a perfect, blended experience of off grid and cute Airbnb! Brianna was the most fantastic host! She was very friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating, and overall made the whole stay enjoyable. We will 100% be coming back to stay here!

Extremely convenient stay near Big Bend National Park. I got two fantastic nights of sleep due to how dark & quiet the inside of the container is at night. We were also able to beat most of the traffic into Big Bend with such a close location. Terlingua has really nice grocery store (Cottonwoods) and great taco truck (Gordo’s) just a couple minutes away.

Hands down the best place to stay in Study Butte-Terlingua. This place seamlessly blends those outdoorsy camping experiences with all the comforts you need. It’s perfect for someone wanting that camping experience, but doesn’t want to be without the comforts of a warm bed, hot shower, and actual toilet. Highly recommend if you’re in the area, or want to visit Big Bend without actually camping. No need to keep scrolling - just book this one! You’ll be glad you did.
